John,

The House of Representatives has passed the SAVE Act — a bill that could be devastating for voters and election workers alike.

On top of making it more difficult for many Americans to vote — women, students, rural voters, and many more — this bill would also derail election officials with unfunded mandates, open them to legal risk, and make it harder for eligible Americans to vote.

The SAVE Act would be a dangerous bill for so many Americans across the country. We need to make sure it doesn’t make it any further in Congress. We’ve partnered with Common Cause to tell the Senate to reject the SAVE Act — add your name if you agree!

If passed, the SAVE Act would place new requirements on election offices across the country, and cost local taxpayers millions of dollars. That’s because, despite placing strict new requirements on these offices, Congress isn’t allocating any funding for them to implement the changes.

In addition, the SAVE Act put serious burdens on voters that would make it harder for folks to vote. Americans should be encouraged to vote and make their voice heard — not forced to jump through unnecessary hoops.

This bill would do more harm than good. There are paths forward to enhance our nation’s election security, but the SAVE Act isn’t it.

We need your help to make sure the SAVE Act doesn’t become law. Tell the Senate to reject it.

Thanks for all you do,
