This definitely isn't the news we wanted to share today. But as a member of this team, you deserve to know:

Last night, we came up short of our April mid-month fundraising goal.

It’s not the end of the world. Our campaign is still strong. From a strategy perspective, however, coming up short of this goal means our pro-democracy movement is not keeping up momentum, and we are not pacing toward hitting our April fundraising goals.

Now, that is a big deal, and it’s the last thing we want to show while Trump is in the White House and Republicans gear up to take us on.

So, today, we are hoping to make up for lost ground and hit that goal. Right now, we are still $8,742 short of our goal, but when everyone reading this email gives, it adds up, and we will reach our goal.

So please: Can you add whatever you can afford to help us catch up?
