Today, Rio Rancho Mayor Gregg Hull announced that he is running for Governor of New Mexico. Hull is the first Republican candidate to formally enter the race. During Hull’s tenure, Rio Rancho has seen a significant increase in crime, notably homicide investigations in 2024 equaled 2021, 2022, and 2023 figures combined.
New Mexicans remember how disastrous a Republican Governor can be for our state. Governor Susana Martinez destroyed our state’s behavioral healthcare system with baseless attacks, had an abysmal economic and jobs record, and decimated our education system. Her administration was notorious for ethical issues, from Pizza Gate to FBI investigations.
Under Democratic leadership, New Mexico has been a national leader in protecting abortion rights and reproductive healthcare, transitioning to a clean energy economy, early childhood education, and much more. New Mexicans can’t risk reversing our progress in so many key areas by having a Republican Trump lackey as the top executive in our state.
That's why we're going to build up our outreach programs across New Mexico. But we can't do this without support from Democrats like you.
