On April 1, Democrats shocked the nation by massively over-performing expectations in two deep red Florida congressional special elections.
The result hints at what lies in our future — if we come together and work to make it happen:
How do we do this? What lessons can we learn from this to defeat MAGA Republicans like Lauren Boebert in 2026?
The playbook from the 16-point leftward swing in the special elections in red Florida, and the 10-point Supreme Court seat victory in purple Wisconsin, is actually quite simple:
1. Harness grassroots energy from across the entire country to resist Trump and MAGA
2. Raise the money needed to fight back against the MAGA propaganda machine and win swing voters with a common sense message
3. Compete in every single race that can be won with a swing of 16 points or less.
That means Lauren Boebert is, and should be, a top target for 2026.
Boebert won in what had been considered a "safe red district" by only 11 points in a presidential election where the entire country shifted right. She can be defeated if we do the work.
