Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) - The 2024-2025 Cooling Assistance Benefit is now available!The Home Energy Assistance Program can help eligible New Yorkers heat and cool their homes. If you are eligible, you may receive one regular HEAP benefit per program year and could also be eligible for emergency HEAP benefits if you are in danger of running out of fuel or having your utility service shut off.The Cooling Assistance Benefit provides for the purchase and installation of an air conditioner or a fan to help your home stay cool. Featured Funding OpportunitiesFY 2025 Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A)The Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) established the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) competitive grant program with $5 billion in appropriated funds over 5 years, 2022-2026. The SS4A program funds regional, local, and Tribal initiatives through grants to prevent roadway fatalities and serious injuries. The SS4A program provides funding for two main types of grants: Planning and Demonstration Grants for Action Plans, including supplemental safety planning and/or safety demonstration activities, and Implementation Grants.The FY 2025 NOFO substantively differs from the FY 2024 NOFO, be sure to review It closely. The deadline for applications is June 26, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. (EDT)Municipal Infrastructure Program (MIP)ConnectALL’s Municipal Infrastructure Program supports municipalities, state and local authorities, non-profits, and other entities to construct open access municipal broadband networks in their communities across the state.Application Deadline: Due on April 25, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. ET.Drug-Free Communities (DFC) Support ProgramThe DFC Support Program is the nation's leading effort to mobilize communities to prevent youth substance use. It provides community-based coalitions with up to 10 years of funding to promote positive youth engagement and address the local conditions that drive youth substance use. Funding through the Veterans' Nonprofit Capital Program is provided for architecture, design, engineering, construction, reconstruction, rehabilitation or expansion of an eligible facility; and purchase of eligible furnishings or equipment.Application Deadline: Due on May 30, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. ET. Small Business ResourcesThe Albany Small Business Development Center serves small businesses in the Capital Region.
