Pattern your shotgun at Summerhaven Range in Augusta
female turkey hunter shooting shotgun

Wild turkey hunting season begins Saturday, April 26 for youth and Monday, April 28 for all hunters. Come pattern your turkey hunting gun at the State-owned Summerhaven Shooting Range located on the 211 Sanford Road in Augusta to get ready for the season.

Please bring your firearm and several rounds of lead target loads (#6 through #9 shot) to practice and gain comfort and a couple of the loads that you plan to hunt with to ensure the pattern stays true. While we encourage nonlead ammunition for hunting, lead bullets and shot are great for target practice and Summerhaven Range recycles the lead that gets shot into the berms. These turkey patterning events are the only time that pellets may be used at the Range.

A trained Range Safety Officer will be there to help if you want assistance.

We can accommodate 3 people during each one hour time slot. We will provide targets and target backers.

Choose a one hour time that works best for you:

Thursday, April 17  -  10am - 4pm

Friday, April 18  - 10am - 4pm

Saturday, April 19  - 10am - 4pm
