John –
House GOP representatives recently passed an extremely misleading bill that will make it more difficult for all Americans, but especially women and troops stationed overseas, to vote.
Let me be clear: It is already illegal for noncitizens to vote. This so-called "proof of citizenship" bill is NOT voter reform. It's voter suppression.
By forcing troops stationed overseas to return home to register to vote and making it extremely difficult for women who have changed their last names to cast a ballot, this bill will suppress the votes of active-duty service members, married women, and rural voters all across the country. That includes thousands of people in Berks and Chester counties.
This bill is pure theater, it's un-American, and it's a direct threat to our democracy – which is why Chrissy voted against it.
As your representative, Chrissy is committed to fighting for Pennsylvania, for the hardworking Americans who live here, and to protect our democracy. But she can't do this work without supporters like you, John, standing by her side. That's why we are asking:
Will you please chip in $5 or more right now to help Chrissy hold this administration accountable, protect our rights, and defend our democracy from the GOP's attacks?
