I’m officially running for Congress to win back Colorado’s 8th District.

I was proud to be the first person to represent Colorado’s 8th – and the first Latina to represent Colorado in Congress.

I’ll explain more about why I’m running, but if you’re with me, will you donate right now to get our campaign off the ground? This will be one of the most competitive House races in the country, so every dollar makes a difference.

Let me start from the beginning: my parents’ dream.

My parents came to this country from a small town in Mexico. They didn’t come with much, but they came in search of the American Dream. They raised me to believe that with hard work, perseverance, and care for others, anything was possible. That belief led me to become the first in my family to graduate from college and later, become a pediatrician in Adams County.

But as a doctor, I saw families struggling with the rising costs of healthcare and prescription drugs, and I knew I needed to do more. The American Dream my parents worked so hard for was slipping away for too many.

So, I took that fight to the state legislature and then Congress. I forced Big Pharma to lower prescription prices, helped pass a first-in-the-nation cap on the price of insulin, and pushed to allow Medicare to negotiate lower prices.

But our representative in Congress, Gabe Evans, is trying to rip away health care from tens of thousands of Coloradans, including the very families I served as a pediatrician.

I won’t stand by while Gabe Evans makes life harder for working families, all while giving tax cuts to billionaires. So I’m getting back in the ring and running for Congress, and I hope I can count on your support.

CO-08 was one of the closest House races in the country in both 2022 and 2024, so if we’re going to win what’s bound to be one of the toughest races in 2026, we need a strong grassroots team from the very beginning. Will you donate now to launch this campaign?
