We’re halfway through our spring fundraising appeal, still working toward our $30,000 goal.
Recently, Santita Jackson, radio show host and daughter of Rev. Jesse Jackson, said of FAIR on her show:
I tell you, when I'm trying to get the story right and find out the story behind the story, I check on Fairness & Accuracy In Reporting, quite frankly, every day, and then I go into their archives...because so much of what you have said in the past has really been prescient, it has come to fruition, years down the road.
Having a legacy like this—being a useful resource for those who are using their voices for justice—is why we have been doing this work for nearly 40 years, despite budget challenges, attacks from oligarchs and threats to the First Amendment. Regardless of the moment: Through various administrations and movements, we haven’t changed our tune. We believe in access to information and a just democracy for all.
It can be easy to lose hope right now as our democratic ideals come under attack, but we are part of an inspiring community of activists, journalists, academics and free-thinkers. Thanks to you, we can take pride in our independence and the fact that our content is freely accessible.
As you know, FAIR’s finances are tight, but this work can’t wait.
Thank you for making reliable, critical information accessible to all!
Sincerely,
Your Friends at FAIR
