It's Tax Day. The stakes are high as Trump and Musk’s DOGE are firing thousands at the IRS, making it easier for the wealthy to cheat on their taxes and robbing us of revenue that could fund child care, education, health care, and more. Meanwhile, Republican leaders in Congress are putting billionaires first in their budget blueprint by cutting critical basic needs programs like Medicaid and SNAP. And for what? So they can pay for tax cuts for billionaires.

With the Senate and House’s recent passage of the Republican budget resolution, Congress moves a step closer to sending a bill to Trump’s desk that will decimate Medicaid, food assistance, and more critical basic needs programs—all to give tax breaks to billionaires.
