Educator Workforce Data Report Updated
The Michigan Department of Education (MDE) is excited to announce updates to the data displayed in the Educator Workforce Data Report. Data collection, analysis, and dissemination are integral to developing, supporting, and sustaining a high-quality, well-prepared, and collaborative education workforce. From recruitment into teacher preparation programs to certification and employment, the metrics included in this report contribute to a portrait of Michigan’s educational ecosystem.
In Case You Missed It: Applications for Fiscal Year 2025 (FY25) Student Loan Repayment Program Now Open!
MDE is currently accepting applications for the FY25 Student Loan Repayment Program through Monday, May 19, 2025. This year, eligible school staff members must apply directly for the program, using the link on the Student Loan Repayment Program webpage.
IMPORTANT: You must apply to receive the FY25 payments, regardless of your participation status last year.
Please ensure that you review all requirements in advance if you plan to apply for the Student Loan Repayment Program. To facilitate a successful application, applicants must have all electronic loan documents or screenshots prepared at the time of submission, along with their Personnel Identification Code (PIC) numbers, as required for school staff members.
Application information, including the updated eligibility requirements, timeline, and instructions are currently available on the Student Loan Repayment Program webpage.

2025 Education Workforce Virtual Job Fairs
The 2025 job fairs, held virtually, are open to employers of educators and all individuals seeking to work in the education field. They will leverage the Radancy (formerly Brazen) platform, which features increased functionality and ease of use.
