We recently partnered with the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) to remove more than 150 dogs from 10 locations across Dillon and Marion counties. Across the properties, law enforcement discovered dogfighting paraphernalia, including treadmills, fighting pits and medications. Some dogs appeared to be severely underweight and had limited or no access to food or clean water.
The victims — many of whom were also observed with untreated injuries and scarring consistent with dogfighting — were transferred to one of our facilities, where they can receive critical, ongoing care. |
