John, this is an URGENT call for your voice.  

Head Start funding is under threat, putting families across the nation at risk.   

Here’s why we’re asking you to take immediate action:  

• Head Start and Early Head Start serve over 750,000 children whose parents can’t afford other early learning opportunities.
• In rural communities, it’s often the only available child care option. 
• Defunding these programs will force thousands of working parents to stay home, slashing families’ income.
• Nutritious meals, health care and developmental screenings would disappear for nearly 80,000 children.   

John, if Head Start is cut, it WILL send parents into a panic. Rush an emergency message to Congress before it’s too late.

Head Start helps children thrive as learners AND in life – boosting their chances of graduating high school, attending college, securing steady jobs and breaking the cycle of poverty. 

But if we don’t act now, federal funding could go to ZERO. Programs across the country won’t be able to pay their staff or keep their doors open.
