I wanted to make sure you saw the invitation to tomorrow's Earth Month Action Hour, where we'll be coming together to discuss a big upcoming fight -- resisting Trump's budget bill that would sell out people and the planet for billionaire tax cuts.

We're going to spend the hour taking action -- calling our Members of Congress and writing Letters to the Editor. We'll walk you through them step by step, and show you how to do them effectively.

With so many difficult things happening right now, our individual actions can feel like a drop in the ocean. But collectively, we can make enough noise to make a real difference. Inspired by the history of the first Earth Day, a teach-in that led to mass mobilizations and transformative change, we'll take action together to fight for our climate, our health, our public lands, and our democracy.

We need a government that makes life better for everyday people. But Republicans in Congress are trying to ram through a massive piece of legislation to cut clean energy, public lands, and essential government programs like Social Security and Medicare.

Why? To pay for more tax breaks for their billionaire buddies and corporate polluters. 

We have a real shot at protecting these programs. They are extremely popular in blue, red, and purple states, and Republicans in Congress are divided -- some are even speaking out in support because of all the pressure they're getting from constituents and local businesses.
