Paving Work and Sidewalk Improvements in Auburn [ [link removed] ] 04/14/2025 01:33 PM EDT
AUBURN - The Maine Department of Transportation will be doing paving work and pedestrian safety improvements, including bringing sidewalk curbs into ADA compliance, in Auburn. The work areas include Center Street, Court Street, Rotary Street, Washington Street, and Minot Avenue. Two-way traffic will be maintained throughout project areas, with periodic lane closures occurring throughout construction. Sidewalk closures will occur with pedestrian detours in place. Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, April 21st and is anticipated to be completed in November. This work will begin with day-work but will switch to nighttime work in mid-June. The contractor on this project is Northeast Paving of Bangor.
