VIDEO OF THE DAY: Top adviser issues chilling news on Trump live on air
Alt-right nationalist, Trump whisperer, and ex-convict Steve Bannon flatly stated on "Real Time With Bill Maher" that on January 20, 2029, the MAGA cult leader will be sworn in for a definitely illegal third term as president of the United States. When confronted with the very straightforward language in the US Constitution strictly prohibiting any person from serving more than two terms as president, Bannon simply said those words are simply up for interpretation. These clowns aren't even pretending to adhere to the rule of law they claim to be upholding or defending. Fascism is the cornerstone principle of MAGA, folks. Power is all, and no tactic is off limits.

Suspect arrested for attempted murder in arson attack on Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro's home
A suspected terrorist has been accused of setting alight Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro’s mansion Saturday evening, forcing his family and other guests to flee the residence. Cody Balmer, 38, of Harrisburg, was detained in connection with the alleged "targeted" attack just hours after Shapiro and his family dined to celebrate the Jewish holiday of Passover at his home in the state capital Saturday, officials say. "We don’t know the person’s specific motive yet," Shapiro, visibly frustrated in an emotionally charged press conference, said. "But we do know a few truths. First, this type of violence is not okay. This kind of violence is becoming far too common in our society. I don't give a damn if it’s coming from one particular side or the other, directed at one party or another, or one person or another, it is not okay," he continued. "It has to stop. We have to be better than this."

Proven winner Chris Pappas announces bid to keep crucial New Hampshire Senate seat blue
Chris Pappas for Senate: Now that Senator Shaheen is retiring, Chris Pappas is aiming to make history by becoming the first openly gay man elected to the U.S. Senate and keep a vitally important Senate seat in Democratic hands. Rep. Chris Pappas has served New Hampshire for 20 years and has a proven track record of taking on the big fights– from battling Big Pharma to lowering drug prices to facing off with predatory companies that target veterans — while winning election after election in one of the swingiest districts in the country. If we're to have any chance of derailing Trump's appalling agenda of cruelty, chaos, and corruption, we need to retake the Senate, we need to protect this must-win seat from whichever MAGA extremist tries to snatch it away. Will you help jump-start Chris Pappas' campaign with a donation?
Donald Trump says CBS and "60 Minutes" should "pay a big price" for going after him
The MAGA cult leader, who has an ongoing $20 BILLION lawsuit against CBS News over past stories he did not like, attacked "60 Minutes" shortly after it aired segments on Ukraine and Greenland yesterday. Obviously allergic to basic facts and anything remotely resembling criticism, Trump complained that the network was out of control and should "pay a big price" for essentially doing its basic job. In a signature, thumb-smashed screed, Trump laughably claimed "60 Minutes" was "a dishonest Political Operative simply disguised as ‘News.'" This coming from a man who consumes hours of propaganda programming every damn day from breathless sycophants on Fox News, OAN, and Newsmax.

DOJ argues courts have "no authority" to direct Trump to bring home Maryland man wrongly deported to El Salvador
The Trump regime is openly flaunting direct orders from a number of courts — including the Supreme Court — as MAGA goons at the Dept. of Justice continue to insist the judicial branch has "no authority" to make the wannabe dictator return an innocent Maryland man who was illegally deported to El Salvador. Kilmar Abrego Garcia is being held at the notorious CECOT prison in El Salvador along with many other deportees, as well as with members of vicious drug gangs whose potential persecution of Garcia was the basis for the court granting him the legal permission to remain in the United States in the first place. Someone please make it make sense.

Nope. Definitely not a cult.
Republicans set to largely avoid town halls during the congressional recess
Ghosting constituents and ignoring their very legitimate concerns about Donald Trump's chaotic tariff war, Elon's DOGE antics, and ongoing economic upheaval in general is a surefire way to lose the razor-thin majority Republicans currently enjoy in the US House. Let's definitely keep their continued absence and brazen neglect front and center in the electorate's mind!

FBI agent resigns, exposes Trump corruption
No Lie with Brian Tyler Cohen: Veteran FBI agent John Sullivan worked to protect our country for 17 years under multiple presidents from both parties and even worked on the January 6th cases. But he has just resigned in protest of Donald Trump's outrageous attempts to wield our law enforcement to serve his own ambitions and the way he's putting our country in serious danger, and sat down with Brian Tyler Cohen to expose his corruption and abuse. China halts critical material exports amid escalating trade war
China halted exports of materials critical to industries worldwide, the latest salvo in a broadening global trade war brought on by Donald Trump's idiotic tariff war. Beijing’s announcement followed earlier restrictions on the export of rare earths, an industry it dominates. "Who could've possibly seen this coming?" said no one.
UAW head Shawn Fain butts heads with MSNBC hosts, defends Trump auto industry tariffs
United Auto Workers President Shawn Fain, a steadfast ally and backer of the Democratic Party, defended his support for Donald Trump’s tariffs — particularly those impacting the US auto industry — during a Sunday morning appearance on MSNBC’s "The Weekend." Fain said, "Now, we've been very clear. We do believe, and we know, when it comes to auto, when it comes to heavy truck, and agricultural implementation, we know that tariffs will influence [US-based] companies to do the right thing and reinvest in this country and reinvest in factories in this country." Fain went on to argue that the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), initiated by Ronald Reagan in 1980 and eventually signed in 1993 by Bill Clinton after more than decade of bipartisan negotiations, had forced the closure of 90,000 factories since it was signed and is still harming American workers today. "We support tariffs as a tool," Fain said. "They're not the end-all, be-all, but they motivate companies to do the right thing. We've been clear — we disagree with this administration on a lot, including attacks on OSHA, on the NLRB, on DEI," he said. "But we do agree that something has to be done to fix the broken trade system."
