John, on Friday, I took the stage at Coachella.
I’m a drummer and a musician so you might be thinking I finally got my big musical break… but I was there for something more important than a headliner:
I was there to talk about grassroots organizing, shine light on the dangers of far-right fascism, and empower young people to harness their power in politics.
As the first (and still only!) Gen Z member of Congress, I know that the same old organizing tactics won’t deliver a new generation of voters and politically engaged youth.
If we want to reach young people and get them involved before the far right does, we need to get creative – and that’s exactly what I’m doing.
But John, meeting young people where they are is expensive. That’s why the far right, funded by billionaire megadonors, has been so successful at it.
While I don’t have billionaire megadonors, I DO have people like you, who chip in what they can when they can because they know how important it is to build youth power. And that kind of momentum-building has never been more important.
So please, chip in just $15 (the price of a lemonade here at Coachella!) or whatever you can afford right now so we can catch up to the far right’s efforts and meet young people where they are, not just where it's convenient. >>

Together we can make this happen,
