Folks, in their quest to punish America’s nonpartisan civil
servants, Trump and Musk have hollowed out our federal government and left
millions of Americans struggling to access services they need to survive.

Now, tens of thousands of talented public servants have been unjustly
fired. But these purges are not only counterproductive and shameful; they
are illegal. 

That’s why I recently joined with my colleagues in Maryland and Virginia
to introduce the MERIT Act, which would:

[2]✅ Restore federal workers to their positions

[3]✅ Provide back pay to cover lost wages
