John — The
recklessness and carelessness of the Trump administration is staggering.

The Signal group chat where top officials discussed military strike plans…
without realizing there was a reporter in the group… was just the
beginning. This information could have easily been leaked, thwarting
military operations in Yemen and putting the lives of service members at
risk. Now, we have learned that this may have been only one of 20 such
reckless chat groups endangering our national security.

Then, it was revealed that National Security Advisor Michael Waltz was
using Gmail to conduct official government business.

But maybe worst of all,
John, is this:

After meeting with right-wing conspiracy theorist Laura Loomer, Trump
fired the head of the NSA, and several members of the National Security
Council at her demand.

John, taking
national security advice from Laura Loomer is like taking advice on
putting out fires from an arsonist.

All of this recklessness is not only embarrassing and hypocritical (think
Hillary Clinton’s emails) but puts our country at risk, too.

I’ve called for the resignations of several top administration officials
over these chats involving classified information and joined legislation
to require better training for officials handling our nation’s top
secrets.
