Friend, many Americans support a complete and total ban on the purchase of
Soda, Candy, Dessert, and Salty Snacks with government benefits, like SNAP or
food stamps. They argue that taxpayer dollars should not be used to make America
less healthy, and government food benefits should go toward pantry staples and
healthier options like eggs, milk, bread, vegetables, and more.

Some even see it as a way to stick it to Big Food and fight back against soda
manufacturers by hurting their sales with this ban, given that many of these
companies have unprecedented market share and control of the soft drink
industry.

Opponents of the "unhealthy food" ban argue that Americans should be free to
purchase whatever grocery they like, whether that be a healthy or unhealthy
option, and method of purchase - credit card, food stamps, SNAP, cash, or
something else - shouldn't matter. Some say that banning Americans from
purchasing these products is unfair to the companies that sell them, and
legislation shouldn't be used to target these companies.

Thanks for your input,
