Hi Friend,

This might be the most heartbreaking cruelty we've had to share in the 30-year history of Animal Outlook. CONTENT WARNING: This investigation is the bloodiest and goriest we've ever uncovered. Viewer discretion strongly advised.

As just revealed in The New York Times ([link removed]) , our brand-new undercover investigation at Manning Beef ([link removed]) , Los Angeles' last remaining cow slaughterhouse, has revealed footage ([link removed]) so disturbing that even celebrated songwriter Diane Warren, who previously rescued two cows from this facility, said she couldn't bring herself to watch it.

Help End This Cruelty ([link removed])
Here's what our investigator documented:
* Cows being butchered alive
* Animals being shot multiple times in the head, when a single shot is meant to stun them
* Workers skinning the faces of cows while they jerked away from the knife
* A downed cow being repeatedly shocked with cattle prods
* Piles of unborn calf fetuses cut out of pregnant cows sent to slaughter

Left: Cows awaiting their fate in a pen at the Manning Beef slaughterhouse
Right: A cow struggles in her final moments, still alive on the slaughter line
What makes this even more urgent is that Manning Beef has been supplying meat to federal child nutrition programs, the largest of which is the National School Lunch Program. This facility has a long history of inhumane handling violations, including multiple USDA suspensions for egregious acts of inhumane handling and a trend of repetitive noncompliance with stunning requirements—and we filmed more violations during our investigation.

We've submitted comprehensive evidence to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office, pushing for 95 criminal animal cruelty counts. Each count carries a maximum fine of $20,000, but we need your support to ensure justice is served.

If you find this investigation as disturbing as we do, you can make a difference for animals like the cows who suffered at Manning Beef by leaving them off your plate.

We cannot let animals continue to suffer so cruelly in a system that won't protect them. Together, we can speak up for them.
For the animals,
Ben Williamson
Executive Director
P.S. This is one of the most important cases we've ever pursued. To help us seek justice for these cows, please consider making a monthly donation ([link removed]) . Your gift will go directly toward helping us hold Manning Beef accountable and prevent future suffering.
