John,
Trump and Musk have unleashed mayhem on the agency that protects our
planet’s beating heart, chaotically firing over 1,000 staff and
threatening to destroy NOAA - the US ocean protection agency - completely.
Musk’s DOGE gang reportedly demanded access to agency staff’s computers,
rifled through staff’s personal belongings, and noted names of people who
were deemed to be “resisting”.
It’s terrifying: the world could lose a life-saving ocean monitoring
system that protects vital ecosystems…because an UNELECTED billionaire
says so.
But lawmakers are fighting back. A small group has demanded an
investigation into DOGE’s activities and requested answers from the head
of NOAA. With all of us chipping in, we could launch an emergency campaign
lobbying key lawmakers to join forces to make this resistance huge, and
turn up the pressure on the NOAA’s chief administrator to resist further
cuts.
We can’t let Musk’s political games dismantle the science we ALL rely
on. We have to act now.
Can you chip in to stop Musk and Trump from destroying the planet?

Trump and Musk’s rapid dismantling of U.S. government agencies has entered
a new phase – and they’re plunging the world ever closer to irreversible
climate catastrophe.
If these cuts go through, it won’t just be people at risk. Entire marine
ecosystems and the animals that depend on them will suffer. Without NOAA’s
data, we’ll lose critical insights into warming oceans, collapsing fish
populations, harmful algal blooms, and disappearing habitats—putting
whales, sea turtles, dolphins, and countless species in danger.
It’s like silencing the warning system that helps protect life beneath the
waves.
And this isn’t just a U.S. problem—it’s a global one. Scientists around
the world rely on NOAA’s data to track ocean warming, guide marine
conservation, and prepare for climate-driven disasters. Without it,
international efforts to protect biodiversity and stabilize ecosystems are
weakened.
Meanwhile, Elon Musk is playing a larger game to break up essential
government systems that protect people and the planet. By undermining
public institutions and slashing science budgets, he’s paving the way for
unchecked corporate power.
They don’t want the public to see the full picture. But we do. And
together, we can fight back.
With all of us chipping, we could rally public pressure on key lawmakers
with lobbying and ads to amp up the resistance against Trump and Musk’s
destruction – and save the NOAA before it’s too late.
Can you chip in today to save the planet from toxic billionaires?
