The House of Representatives has now passed the SAVE Act — a blatant attempt to disenfranchise millions of voters by creating overly burdensome proof-of-identity requirements every time you register to vote.

Now we need to stop it from passing the Senate.

As US News & World Report explained: “Even a driver’s license wouldn’t be enough for most people to register… The SAVE Act will put everyday Americans’ right to vote at risk.”

Make no mistake: The SAVE Act is one of the biggest threats to voting rights we’ve seen in a generation — and we must do everything we can to prevent it from becoming law.

Millions of Americans would struggle to meet the SAVE Act’s paperwork requirements to register to vote, disproportionately affecting military voters, rural voters, tribal citizens, survivors of natural disasters, people of color, and working-class Americans.
