Los Angeles County has launched the Right of Entry form for residents impacted by the Eaton Fire to sign up for the no-cost debris removal program.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will clear debris from your property at no cost, whether or not you have insurance that covers clean-up. Make sure to sign up by Tuesday, April 15th.

If you have questions or need help filling out the form, call the Fire Debris Hotline at 844-347-3332.
You can also get in-person assistance at the Disaster Recovery Centers, open daily from 9 AM to 8 PM at 540 W Woodbury Rd, Altadena, CA 91001.
If You Choose to Opt-Out:
Residents can choose to opt out of the free debris removal program and instead hire a private, approved contractor to clear the fire debris.
However, please note:
- You will not be reimbursed by federal or state disaster funds if you opt out.
- You must follow all rules, regulations, and the "Management of Los Angeles County Wildfire Debris" guidelines for private debris removal.
If you live or run a business in Los Angeles County that was affected by January's wildfires, you may qualify for a tax extension.
FEDERAL TAXES
The IRS is extending deadlines to file and pay certain taxes. Any tax deadlines between January 7, 2025, and October 15, 2025, are now postponed to October 15, 2025 — giving you more time to get caught up.

CALIFORNIA TAXES
You automatically get 6 extra months to file your tax return — but you still need to file by October 15, 2025, to avoid late filing penalties. An extension to file is not an extension to pay. You still need to pay any taxes you owe by April 15, 2025, to avoid penalties and interest.
