Yesterday, the House of Representatives passed the so-called SAVE Act—a dangerous, anti-democratic piece of legislation that would disenfranchise millions of eligible voters across the country.
Let’s not sugarcoat this: If this bill passes the Senate, it will undermine and suppress the voices of eligible voters, especially communities of color, younger Americans and women who changed their name after marriage. It’s a disgusting attempt to erode a fundamental pillar of our democracy and the integrity of our elections.
The bill is headed to the Senate next, and we need all EnviroVoters on deck to make sure our senators vote to protect our democracy. Will you fill out our (quick) email form to make sure your senators hold strong and vote NO on this bill?

Californians can at least be proud that our House Representatives overwhelmingly rejected this legislation, because in California, we still believe in democracy. Most of our representatives know that every eligible American deserves to have their voice heard and their vote counted—but apparently Congressmen Calvert, Issa, Kiley, LaMalfa, McClintock, Obernolte, and Valadao, who voted in favor of the bill, believe otherwise.
This bill is nothing more than an underhanded MAGA attempt to steal the voices and power of the majority of Americans who believe in freedom, fairness, and the Constitution. It must be stopped in the Senate—which is why we need you to call on your senators to stand up for our democracy right now, friend.
The American people are watching, and we won’t let extremists rewrite the rules to cling to power. We will fight back against any effort to undermine our democracy, and together we will continue to protect the right to vote for every single American.
Thanks,
Aaron McCall
