This week, as you likely know, Donald Trump rescinded many of the tariffs he had threatened to implement which caused the stock market to reverse course and end the day on Wednesday with some of the largest gains in market history.

Here is the truth:

Members of Congress, by nature of their jobs, tend to know in advance about key hearings, legislative movements, or even presidential proclamations that could affect the price of a stock.

Did that happen this week? I don't know...

But the latest round of alleged insider trading among elected and administration officials is a good time to join the fight to *finally* ban Members of Congress from trading stocks.

There’s a bill.

It’s bipartisan.

It’s the most common-sense bill out there.

And its passage will help earn back at least some of the trust of the American people. It is one of the few small but significant things Congress can do to help eradicate even the perception of corruption.

Let's get it done.
