Friend,

Millions of us took to the streets this past weekend to say “HANDS OFF” to Trump, Musk, and their efforts to line the pockets of billionaires while they steal from hard working families. So many of us that the estimates of our impact are still being calculated! That’s some MOMentum - and we know we are just beginning!

Here are 2 easy ways for you to keep our momentum going —>

(1) Call on Congress to hold the line for families and reject the Trump agenda.

(2) Join our growing network of resistance: Moms Next Door - where we learn, skill build, and take action in our communities to build connection and push back.

What just happened? On April 5, more than 1,200 protests took place across the country in direct response to Trump’s authoritarian overreach and the billionaire-backed agenda that guts our federal resources and threatens critical programs like Medicaid, education, SNAP, Head Start, and our very livelihoods. We came together to say: Hands Off!

Our collective movement is growing and you can feel the ground shift. Moments like this weekend are a watershed of hope, unlocking the courage of millions across the country. In fact, research tells us that nonviolent protests are twice as likely to succeed than violent ones, and those movements who can achieve engagement from 3.5% of their population have always succeeded. [1] And we are well on our way.

Whether you attended a rally, provided people with transportation, organized child care so others could attend, or cheered on from social media - our presences and our resistance matters.

Take a moment to build on this weekend’s progress to push back against hate, greed, and harm by doing 2 quick things:

We may be on the fast track to an authoritarian regime, but history tells us that the power of people is our greatest tool to fight back. The more of us that continue to show up, the more momentum and pressure we build. Together, we can be the resistance that can move us to a brighter future for all of us.

With Gratitude,

Kristin, Lauren, Olivia, and the entire MomsRising.org & MamásConPoder Team
