Ken Paxton is an EPIC fraud.
His latest scheme? Pulling the rug over millions of Texans concerned about the East Plano Islamic Center (EPIC) City in Collin County.
This development is incredibly concerning. As Governor Abbott said, there is "an ongoing investigation into allegations of illegal activities by EPIC. All entities in Texas must follow state law, not Sharia law.”
Let’s be clear: sharia law is not welcome in Texas…and it never will be. In the Lone Star State, we honor the Constitution and fight tooth and nail to uphold the rule of law.
Stopping this affront to law and order falls squarely on the shoulders of the Texas Attorney General. So what’s Ken Paxton doing about it? Not a damn thing.
Paxton has talked tough for the press and issued statements feigning anger, but when push comes to shove Paxton is doing what he always does – looking out for himself and his cronies.
Ken Paxton is lining the pockets of one of the lawyers defending the developers of EPIC City against the state of Texas. That’s right, Paxton’s lawyer is the lead lawyer defending EPIC City and accusing Texans of being racists for raising the issue.
It’s an extreme conflict of interest. Even Ken Paxton thinks so. Take a listen:
"I'm still being represented by him, and he’s representing clients that we are investigating so, yeah, a little conflict-y to me."
As the campaign unfolds, you will see this theme over and over again. Ken is a fraud. He says one thing and does another.
Texans cannot trust someone like Ken Paxton who time and again tells them what they want to hear only to do something completely different behind closed doors.
That’s why we’re calling on Ken Paxton to sever ties with the lawyer defending real estate developers fighting to bring sharia law to Texas.
