USPS agrees to work with DOGE on reform, planning to cut 10,000 workers - AP News

FIRST: Trump appointed Louis DeJoy as Postmaster General — leading to significant mail delays, increased prices and post office closures.

THEN: With the help of DOGE, DeJoy announced his plan to cut 10,000 USPS workers and billions of dollars from the budget.

NOW: Louis DeJoy is stepping down from his position — giving Trump the opportunity to appoint another one of his loyalists who could cut even more workers or privatize USPS altogether.

We cannot allow this to happen. Americans rely on the USPS for lifesaving prescriptions, vote-by-mail ballots and important messages from loved ones.

A note from Kirsten:

John, I am truly honored to have won reelection, and I promise to continue the critical work toward bipartisan solutions for New Yorkers as we enter this new term.

While we had many victories in New York this election season, our fight to retake control of the Senate is far from over.

Please, donate today to make sure my team and I can continue securing crucial progress on the issues that matter the most and help flip the Senate blue in 2026.

Thank you,
