Hi Friend –
A dangerous voter suppression bill was just passed in the U.S. House and is now on its way to the Senate. If it becomes law, millions of eligible Americans would no longer be able to vote.
This dangerous bill would force Americans to provide proof of citizenship — like a passport or birth certificate — in person when they register or update their registration to vote.
More than 21 million eligible voters don’t have these documents readily available for a number of legitimate reasons: documents might be in the home of another family member or in a safety deposit box, they could have been lost, destroyed, or stolen, or they may have changed information.1
That means married women who changed their names, younger and elderly voters, and voters of color are more likely to be blocked from registering.
When Kansas and Arizona imposed similar laws, tens of thousands of eligible voters were denied their right to register.2 This voter suppression bill could do the same nationwide.

MAGA’s anti-voter plan would: ❌ Functionally eliminate mail-in registration and online registration by forcing voters to show citizenship documents in person.
❌ Purge thousands of eligible citizens from the rolls — without proper notice or recourse. ❌ Criminalize election officials if they can’t overhaul the existing, secure voting systems by ridiculous deadlines.
There are already safeguards in place to ensure only citizens can vote. But like every other action we’ve seen from Donald Trump and Elon Musk, they are willing to rob millions of Americans, including Pennsylvanians, of their fundamental rights in order to seize power.
