Hi John.
I understand that people have serious concerns about many of President Trump’s actions since he began his second term. I’ve received record numbers of phone calls, emails, and letters about the new administration, Elon Musk, and much more.
I want you to know that I am listening to you, and that I share your concerns. I vehemently disagree with many of the President's policies and his rhetoric.
It's important to me to stay in touch with you however I can, especially now. So today, I wanted to invite you to my Community Conversation with KCUR 89.3.

This Community Conversation will be on Monday, April 21, from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Trailside Center in Kansas City, Missouri. I’ll be joined by my friend and colleague, Representative Emanuel Cleaver.
If you can't make it, my team is working with KCUR to ensure you can follow along live. You can also click here to submit a question.
The President was duly chosen by the people, just as I was. So, for our democracy to function properly, I believe it's crucial to remain professional and find common ground whenever possible.
However, I will never compromise on our values. And right now, those values are under serious threat.
That's why I've pushed back against efforts to gut Social Security, veterans' health care, and our public schools. I'm also fighting his tariffs that are raising prices and harming Kansas farmers. And I voted against the President's reckless budget proposal. It's wrong to cut KanCare and investments in the middle class to pay for a tax giveaway to billionaires.
Everyone deserves a government that works for them – not special interests, billionaires, or the extremes of either party. Whether we agree on every issue or not is beside the point. I'll keep doing whatever I can to keep serving every person and corner of our district to the best my ability – and regardless of party.
Click here to RSVP now for this community conversation on April 21.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
My warmest regards,
Sharice L. Davids Member of Congress
