Today, Congress set up passing the Big Beautiful Bill —a budget that is anything but beautiful. As a physician-legislator, I’m deeply concerned about the devastating impact this bill will have on our healthcare, our economy, and the everyday lives of hard-working families like yours and mine.
This bill is a direct assault on Medicaid, which millions of Americans rely on for life-saving care. It guts critical healthcare programs, leaving our most vulnerable communities at risk. And while our healthcare system teeters on the brink, this bill chooses to prioritize the wealth of billionaires instead of the well-being of the American people.
I’ve seen firsthand the devastating consequences of cutting healthcare programs. Patients who can’t afford their medications. Families who can’t access the care they need because of rising costs. This isn’t a political issue—it’s a matter of life and death.
At the same time, tariffs are raising costs for all of us and strangling the economy. The result is as devastating and immoral a situation I can imagine - Gutting Healthcare and The Economy to give trillions of dollars to billionaires.
But here's the thing: We don’t have to accept this future. We can fight back.
I’m working every day to protect access to affordable healthcare, defend Medicaid, grow the economy, and address medical debt. But to continue this fight, I need your help.
