Friend – Donald Trump’s ego-driven and reckless tariffs will put a tax on nearly everything we buy – whether at the grocery store, the car dealership, or a neighborhood coffee shop.

These tariffs are igniting a global trade war, triggering what may be the worst market meltdown since 2008, and effectively imposing a TAX HIKE of thousands of dollars per year for the average American household – speed-running our economy into the ground.

This week as we saw the stock market plummet, retirement savings crater, and companies begin layoffs, Trump said flat out that he “couldn’t care less,” about the rising costs soon to hit working families’ wallets. 

While Trump just reversed some tariffs (at least at the time of this email), it’s clear there’s no real plan or strategy to this chaos with many incoherent and damaging tariffs still in place. And it’s painfully clear that Trump and his billionaire Cabinet are completely out of touch with the American people. 

The good news is that Congress has the power to reverse Trump’s devastating tariffs. The bad news is that Republicans are refusing to lift a finger in opposition to Trump and his pro-billionaire agenda. 

Let me be clear: Any Republican who isn’t working to end these tariffs is co-signing Trump’s reckless tax on American families that’s pushing us closer to a GOP recession.

So I need you to join me in speaking up right now: If you agree that Congress must reverse the Trump tax ASAP, please sign my petition.

As we rush headfirst into a painful (and self-inflicted) recession, Republicans are ignoring the pleas from people in their states and are instead hard at work hammering out how to best help Trump hand over trillions of taxpayer dollars to billionaires.

We have to send a message loud and clear to Republicans demanding they abandon their party's pro-billionaire, pro-recession agenda and work with Democrats to save the economy and protect the people who elected us to represent them in Congress.
