Here is today's Kansas Commission on Disability Concerns (KCDC) Disability News message. I hope you have a wonderful day. Martha Martha K. Gabehart | Executive Director [email protected] | www.kcdcinfo.ks.gov ***** This information is from Craig Knutson with the Kansas University Center on Disabilities (KUCD). Craig mentioned this resource during a couple of different meetings and I asked for more information which is shared below. The QR code is in the pdf attachment below. The KEY: Shawnee County Community Team created a local resource guide in Padlet. It is pretty nifty; the team decided on different “buckets” or types of resources people might need, and then put relevant resources in each “bucket”. The team plans on creating business cards with a QR code on it linking to the Padlet. The resources listed within the Padlet offer a brief summary of the relevant resource, a link to the website for the resource, and if applicable, a Google Map so people can get directions to the resource (either by driving, walking or by bus). Some of the resources also have added material like a video or flyer attached.
