These are words we all heard as kids – a basic principle of humanity and moral decency. President Trump and Congressional Republicans promised to lower costs, but continue to prove it was one they never intended to keep. Just this week:

• President Trump launched a global trade war. His on again, off again tariff taxes could cost the average family $3,800 more a year.

• House Republicans are advancing a bill to increase bank overdraft fees for consumers.

• Congress passed a budget resolution that slashes critical lifelines for working families in order to provide a massive tax cut for the ultra-wealthy. 

Promises, without action, are just lies.
