Team, it’s Bill — I’m really excited that I get to be the one to send this email this year: our Democracy Summer Fellows program is starting up soon ( applications are open now [[link removed]] ) and we need your help!

This 6-week program, started by Mad’s friend and colleague Jamie Raskin, embeds thousands of high school and college-aged young people on congressional campaigns where they learn the ins and outs of campaigns, organizing, and running for office.

The fellows are always incredible: passionate, engaged, eager to learn, driven to make the world better. I don’t know about you, but we need more of that in our politics right now, and I know our team is very excited to have fellows back in our office and training for the future.

If not, we’ve got another way for you to support this program! I want to make sure that cost is not a barrier for our team this year.
