We know there’s a lot going on, but we wanted to make sure you saw what’s happening in North Carolina right now:

North Carolina Republicans are attempting to overthrow an election decided by voters last November.

Despite multiple recounts confirming that Justice Allison Riggs won her November election to the North Carolina Supreme Court, her Republican opponent and state and national Republicans have spent the last few months filing repeated, baseless legal actions in an attempt to overthrow the results.

Then, last week, the state’s Court of Appeals ruled that more than 65,000 eligible voters who cast ballots in North Carolina’s Supreme Court race last year face their ballots being thrown out, and lawful voters have 15 days to “prove” their eligibility.

North Carolinians’ voting rights are under attack, and Democrats are fighting back. The DNC is ready to help mobilize thousands of voter protection volunteers based in North Carolina, so that an army of volunteers is ready to deploy to ensure no voter’s voice is silenced.

Ensuring all voices are heard and taking on the Republicans in court will be a costly process. It’s more important than ever that North Carolina Democrats have the resources they need to scale up their on-the-ground work and defend our democracy. You can use this link to support them by splitting a contribution between the North Carolina Democratic Party and the DNC:

If Republicans can establish a playbook in North Carolina to overturn the results of a free and fair election, they’ll use it everywhere.

That’s why it’s essential that we fight back now, and it’s why your support makes such a big difference.

Thank you for everything,

The Democrats
