John,
House Republicans are once again showing us exactly who they work for, and it’s not working families. Their new budget resolution is a brazen blueprint for robbing everyday people to further enrich the wealthy elite.
It enables devastating cuts to vital programs like Medicaid and SNAP—programs that millions of working families rely on—just to bankroll more tax handouts for billionaires and wealthy corporations.[1]
This isn’t budgeting, it’s looting. It’s a morally bankrupt vision of America where billionaires hoard more yachts while families can’t afford essentials like food and medicine. And it’s being voted on as early as today. If this resolution passes, the stage will be set for some of the most radical, anti-worker, pro-billionaire policies we’ve ever seen.
We need to make sure every member of the House hears us loud and clear: we will not stand by while they trade our healthcare, our food assistance, and our future for billionaire tax cuts.
Tell your Representative: VOTE NO on this dangerous budget resolution.
Make no mistake: this budget is pushing a rigged economic agenda and gutting public services under the guise of austerity while shoveling money into the pockets of the ultra-rich and Wall Street executives. It’s economic violence masquerading as policymaking.
This budget resolution is part of a long-standing right-wing strategy: stoke deficits with giveaways to the rich, and then cry “budget crisis” to justify ever deeper cuts to the services working people depend on.
Medicaid cuts mean fewer people can access lifesaving care. SNAP cuts mean children and families go to bed hungry. And the tax giveaways? They mean CEOs will get richer while students are cut off from school meals. All while the richest Americans pay less in taxes than a firefighter or a nurse.
We’ve seen this playbook before, and it always ends the same: more wealth at the top, more pain for everyone else. But we have the power to stop it and make Congress end corporate tax giveaways, close Wall Street loopholes, and strengthen the IRS to pursue wealthy tax cheats.
We need to raise our voices now and demand a better future where the rich pay their fair share and working people get the public investments they deserve. Tell the House: Reject this shameful budget scam. VOTE NO.
Thank you for being in this fight,
David Kass
