Join us: community benefit agreements and clean energy – April 24

Please join us on Thursday, April 24, from 9-10:30 a.m. for a virtual meeting about Community Benefit Agreements (CBAs) and their potential role in clean energy development in Washington.

This meeting builds on the 2024 Rural Clean Energy Legislative Report, which analyzed how large-scale clean energy projects affect rural communities in Washington.

We’ll start with a short presentation to explain what CBAs are, then open the floor for discussion. You’ll hear from others and have a chance to share your thoughts, ideas, and experiences.

Your input will help us:

• Understand opportunities and challenges for using CBAs in clean energy projects

• Identify best practices

• Shape a process and framework for making CBAs a common part of these projects

A follow-up meeting is planned for early May to review the feedback we receive.
