Local public radio and television. These aren't just stations—they're lifelines. They're where we’ve turned for truth, for storytelling, for voices that rarely make it into corporate newsrooms.

But now? MAGA extremists, right-wing billionaires, and Elon Musk’s echo chamber want them gone.

They’re trying to dismantle public media to kill off one of the last places where marginalized communities—Black and brown folks, queer people, immigrants, working-class families—can be seen, heard, and taken seriously. This is part of a bigger strategy: eliminate choice, eliminate freedom, and eliminate democracy.

PowerPAC stands firmly in support of public media because we believe a better future starts with a fully informed public. When communities have access to facts—not propaganda—they vote smarter, organize stronger, and fight harder for justice.

Public media isn’t perfect, but it’s independent. It’s ours. And we’re not letting it go without a fight.

Time and again, America is told to trust the same tired myth—that evil white men with power know best. But this nation began Indigenous. It was built by black and brown hands, shaped by queer minds, carried forward by people who were never meant to survive but did. We’ve always been the standard. We are what makes this country worth fighting for. The colonizers? They've spent centuries destroying equity and inclusion, and MAGA is just the latest version of that same  campaign of white-washing: deny, erase, control. But we’re still here. Still building. Still leading. 

We’re not going anywhere.
