Friend,
Earth Day is just around the corner, and we’re marking the occasion with an exciting opportunity: a matching gift challenge!
Now through midnight on April 22, every gift will be matched dollar for dollar, up to $6,000—thanks to long-time supporter and retired educator JoAnne Miller, who sponsors this annual match in loving memory of her husband, Lincoln “Linc” Miller.
JoAnne and Linc joined Population Connection in 1970, and their commitment never wavered. This Earth Day, JoAnne hopes her generosity will inspire you to take action for our planet’s future.
Would you consider showing your dedication to a sustainable future by giving $40.00 today? With the match, your impact will be doubled.
As educators, JoAnne and Linc brought our Population Education curriculum into their classrooms and summer programs, helping young people make the vital connection between population trends and environmental challenges.
JoAnne told us:
One of the best times of the year for me, my team-teaching partner, and our sixth graders was a week-long thematic unit called “Earth Week” that occurred around April 22. Based on PopEd materials, the activities placed our students in the middle of situations contributing to the challenges facing life on Earth. To this day, I have former students still rhapsodizing about that week and … best of all … sharing choices they made because of it.
PopEd continues to inspire future environmental stewards across Northern America today—because of supporters like you.
This Earth Day, your gift will go twice as far to support our one-of-a-kind PopEd program—the only K–12 initiative in Northern America linking population and sustainability.
JoAnne is dedicating her matching gift challenge to empowering young minds and protecting the planet for generations to come. Will you meet her challenge and make your most generous gift of $40.00 today?
Together, we can build a more sustainable future—for people and the planet.
With gratitude,
