John—

The Senate voted late last week on a disastrous budget bill that sets the table to defund Medicaid and SNAP to give tax breaks to billionaires. Now that the Senate has voted, the House will vote as early as tomorrow. We can’t let our elected officials rob us of our future without putting up a fight.

Vote NO on the budget bill!

Between this budget bill and Trump’s tariffs, life is about to become increasingly more expensive for everyday people.
This is the moment to tell your representative: don’t rob us of our health care, food, housing, and child care to give tax breaks to billionaires. VOTE NO on the harmful budget bill this week. [[link removed]]

Dear John,

“I rise tonight because I believe sincerely that our country is in crisis…These are not normal times in America, and they should not be treated as such.
- Senator Cory Booker, March 31, 2025
As the Senate votes on a budget proposal TOMORROW that sets the table for major cuts that would advance the Trump administration’s extreme pro-billionaire, anti-family agenda, we couldn’t agree more with Senator Booker—these are not normal times and we won’t pretend that they are.

Republican leaders want to want to decimate Medicaid and SNAP and drive up the cost of care, groceries, housing, and education to help their billionaire friends. They are forgoing a critical opportunity to build a tax code that works for women and families—one that brings in the revenue that could pay for what people really need right now.

A budget is about priorities, and this budget doesn’t prioritize US.

There are many steps in the budget process, and we need to remain vigilant throughout to tell our congressional leaders: the ultra-wealthy do not need more tax breaks, but women and families need health care, food, housing, education, and child care.
Don’t let billionaires rob us of our future. Tell your senators to vote NO on the budget bill. [[link removed]]
