Spring turkey shotgun season opens April 12

Opening day is just around the corner! Join us this Saturday, April 12, for the start of Nebraska's spring turkey shotgun season. The youth shotgun season began April 5, while the archery season opened March 25.

Remember to use Telecheck to report your harvests, and that you can find publicly accessible lands for your hunt in the Public Access Atlas. Best of luck in the field!

Hunting safely this spring and beyond: Tips

With all the excitement of a new season, make sure that enthusiasm doesn't get in the way of a safe hunt. Do you know the four key rules of firearm safety? Part of it is treating every firearm as if it is loaded, and always pointing the muzzle of your firearm in a safe direction.
