My name is Adam Wilkey and I’m the
Regional Field Director in Cincinnati at Ohio Citizen Action. Every
day, rain or snow, I stand on the frontlines of democracy, knocking on
doors across Ohio. The voices I hear are powerful, honest, and ready
for change.
When Ohioans learn how their hard earned dollars are being
used to prop up two 70-year-old failing coal plants,
they don't just listen – they speak up.

Take this college professor
(pictured above). His response was immediate and passionate: "It's
outrageous! Why should we be forced to subsidize failing companies
while they line their pockets? It's like the whole system's rigged."
This is democracy in action
– everyday citizens across the political spectrum finding their voice
and demanding better.
What gives me hope is how this issue transcends political divides.
In neighborhoods both modest and affluent, the message resonates:
Ohioans refuse to let corporate greed go unchallenged. They're signing
petitions, calling representatives, sending emails and joining with
their neighbors in a movement that grows stronger with each
conversation.
These
voices are the backbone of change in our state

Your support amplifies these voices. Every dollar you
contribute helps us reach more doors, have more conversations, and
build a stronger chorus demanding accountability.
Will you donate $50, $100, or whatever you can do
today to strengthen this vital work?
Democracy thrives when citizens are informed and engaged. Your
donation directly supports our efforts to educate and empower Ohioans
to stand up for what's right.
Thank you for standing with us,
