This past Saturday, I had the honor of being reelected as President of the Young Democrats of North Carolina.
I’m grateful to all of the folks who placed their faith in me to lead our federation once again. It is an honor I do not take for granted.
Over the next 100 days, YDNC is going to be all over North Carolina in the lead up to the Young Democrats of America National Convention in Philadelphia.
We are going to be chartering new chapters to fight for their communities in counties where we don’t currently have chapters.
We are going to be working to engage young people who didn’t like what the Democratic Party had to offer in 2024 by supporting the work of our caucuses in ways we haven’t done for years.
But most importantly, we are going to show up. From Pinetops to Pineville, Wilmington to Woodfin, the Young Democrats of North Carolina are going to do everything we can to make sure that our members and chapters have the tools, resources and materials needed to engage in their communities, and when I can, I’m going to be right there beside them in the fight. People are fired up and ready for a Democratic Party that gives them a better vision for tomorrow, and Young Democrats are going to build that party.
All of this, unfortunately, costs an insane amount of money.
YDNC has a goal of raising $10,000 to support our programming, buy supplies for our chapters, and help send our delegates to Philadelphia for YDA’s National Convention. We’ll be leveraging a number of different strategies to raise those funds (my call time manager and I are about to become much closer friends), but our most important source of funding is grassroots donors like you who have stepped up time and again to support the work of Young Democrats in this state.
