Dear John,
Communications Blackout Period
Please note: We are now in the formal "communications blackout" period, which is less than 90 days before the June 2025 primary election. To comply with election law, we are limited in the content we can share via email until Election Day. We will continue to send out a weekly newsletter to keep our community informed. However, we will adjust the content in our newsletters to ensure compliance with election regulations. Be sure to follow us on social media (@CMShahanaHanif on Instagram ([link removed]) , X ([link removed]) ,BlueSky ([link removed]) , and Facebook ([link removed]) ) for regular updates and reminders. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out.
Share your Feedback for the Pacific Library
Brooklyn Public Library (BPL) has secured $34 million to make the 120-year-old Pacific Library fully accessible. This grant will bring elevator access to all four levels for the first time in the building's history! This project will also revitalize the interior and modernize critical infrastructure, protecting this important community resource for future generations. BPL now has a design team on board and a tentative schedule for the renovations ([link removed]) . BPL has also just launched a new survey to make sure the original priorities still reflect the community's needs. Fill it out here ([link removed]) !
