Dear John,

This weekend we were in the streets across the country and most of what we heard was we want an end to the war economy and we want a peace economy. We want an economy that takes care of the people. But the levers of power are held by the war economy; it is committing suicide and taking the entire world with it. So, if not now, when? It is beyond time to pivot to cultivating a peace economy locally, building the relationships we need for a future of abundance, sharing, caring and creating conditions conducive to life.  

Jodie Evans, co-founder of CODEPINK, will be visiting Albany (TONIGHT! 4/6), NYC (4/8) and suburban Philadelphia (4/9) in the coming days to support these local communities in cultivating peace and sharing the tools from her Local Peace Economy workbook. These events will highlight Local Peace Economy initiatives in cultivating resistance in these times of dehumanization and violence in which we find ourselves.

Instead of a regular meeting on April 9th, the Media, PA gathering will be live-streamed via Zoom. We hope you can join us.
