[1]U.S. Senator Chris Murphy
The real reason why Republicans in Congress refuse to hold town halls is pretty straightforward: They simply don’t care about their constituents.
Republicans don’t care if you can’t afford your groceries. They don’t care if you lose access to Social Security and Medicare. And they sure as hell don’t care if billionaires are stealing from working Americans – they’re the ones helping the billionaires do it.
So while Republicans are hiding from their voters, Senator Chris Murphy and I are teaming up and hitting the road to hold town halls in Republican-held districts across the country.
Are you with us to do the real work of democracy that Republicans refuse to? Split a donation today between my campaign and Chris Murphy’s to make actual change.
Our first stop was last weekend in Michigan’s 10th District – held by Republican Rep. John James (who is, unsurprisingly, nowhere to be seen).
Chris and I have organized together for years. We fought to establish the Office of Gun Violence Prevention together, and now, we’re ready to fight for every ignored voice – in as many districts as we can.
But we have a lot of ground to cover, and countless Americans to reach. We can only stay on the road with the support of people like you, chipping in a few dollars at a time.
Chris and I want to talk to as many Americans as possible because real change starts with real conversations. So we’re asking for your help so we can host even more town halls across the country. Will you join our fight by splitting a donation between Chris Murphy’s and my campaigns?
