When the voters in PA sent me to Washington, I was clear that I’ll always stand with workers in PA + across this country.
|
|
The union way of life is sacred. It’s what built Pennsylvania and this nation.
|
|
And every single union worker walking the picket line needs to know that we have their back here in Washington.
|
|
So I wanted to let you know that I just introduced a new bill – the Food Secure Strikers Act – to make sure that if a worker goes on strike, the government doesn’t punish them by taking away things like food stamps.
|
|
But if this bill is gonna have a chance of making it through a Republican-controlled Congress, we need a surge of grassroots momentum. Will you add your name in support of our bill to help make sure striking workers can feed their families while they fight for what’s right?

Workers should never have to choose between fighting for fair working conditions and feeding their families.
|
|
It’s past time we scrap this restriction.
|
|
To protect workers’ right to organize, we have to make sure they can put food on the table for themselves and their families while on strike – and they’re already dealing with enough uncertainty by having to go on strike in the first place.
