Katie Britt: ‘The American people have spoken–It’s time to finish building the
wall’
<[link removed]>
U.S. Sen. Katie Britt (R-Montgomery) is pushing Congress to pass legislation
that will facilitate the completion of the wall at the southern border while
also minimizing the cost of the project for American taxpayers.
The WALL Act, reintroduced and sponsored by the Alabama lawmaker, would
appropriate $25 billion to finish building the wall without raising taxes on
U.S. citizens or increasing the national debt. It would be funded through the
closure of loopholes and the elimination of taxpayer-funded entitlements and
tax benefits for people who are in the United States illegally. Additionally,
the bill would impose monetary fines on people who come into the country
illegally or overstay their visas.

Britt pushes age requirements for social media — 'There is a mental health
crisis amongst young people in America'
<[link removed]>
U.S. Sen. Katie Britt is one of nine co-sponsors of the Kids Off Social Media
Act, which limits access to social media for children under 13 and requires the
platforms to implement certain restrictions.
Britt accused the social media companies of knowingly using harmful
algorithms to lure young teens onto their platforms, which has led to a "mental
health crisis."
"We know those algorithms are used against our children between the ages of
13 and 17," Britt said Tuesday on Newsmax's "Chris Salcedo Show." "We've said
you don't get to use those against our kids. They're impressionable; they're
young. We want to put up the proper guardrails that allow them to explore and
grow, but to do so in a safe manner."

Sen. Britt introduces the Stop Antisemitism on College Campuses Act
<[link removed]>
Senator Katie Britt, R-Ala., joined Senator Tim Scott, R-S.C., and several of
their colleagues in introducing the Stop Antisemitism on College Campuses Act,
which would rescind federal funding from colleges and universities that
encourage antisemitism or facilitate antisemitic events on campus.
This legislation comes as the Department of Justice, the Department of Health
and Human Services, the Department of Education and the General Services
Administration recently announced the cancellation of about $400 million in
federal grants and contracts to Columbia University due to the school’s
continued inaction in the face of persistent harassment of Jewish students.
